James Caleb Gibson CFP®, CAP®, ChFC®, RICP®, MSFS
Wealth Management Advisor and Principal
While at the University of Alabama preparing for law school, my dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Within 5 months in my junior year, he had succumbed to his brief illness. After a tumultuous aftermath with a family financial advisor, I forged a different path. I was recruited by Jay to come work as a financial advisor. Although my youth was a disadvantage at the start, it gave me a unique perspective on the value of a multi-generational team working for a client throughout their life. I love the challenge of crafting financial plans to help clients align their financial decisions with their values and accomplish their goals.
I married my high school sweetheart, Dallas, in 2015, and we have three wonderful, energetic children – Barrett, Kennedy, and Archer. I am an avid fan of music and enjoy playing guitar and writing music in my (limited) free time. I also love to travel with my family and watch the Atlanta Braves with my kids. I serve in a governor-appointed position on the Alabama Optometric Scholarship and Loan Board which focuses on increasing optometry access in underserved populations. I am a deacon at Valleydale Church where I am actively involved in the worship ministry. I also derive great joy from coaching youth sports and often find myself on a baseball field or soccer pitch with my three kids.

I started this business out of necessity. I knew that it could offer three things for me that I wouldn't find many places: To provide well for my family, to be present for my children, to enable me to impact the community in which I live.
Because I spent the early days of my life on military bases across the world, I knew I wanted to find a place where my own family could grow roots. I met and married my wonderful wife Camille and started my career in financial services in 1989. Ten years later, we made the move to Hoover with our two young children. My passion for serving families and businesses led me to management with Northwestern Mutual where I have spent more than 25 years developing advisors throughout the Southeast. My responsibilities as a managing director reinforced a truth I learned watching my dad in the military – life is better on a team! One of my greatest strengths is surrounding myself with smart, servant-hearted people so that we can serve our clients better.
Outside of the office, my favorite thing to do is read followed closely by playing golf, typically with my son or one of my grandchildren. I also enjoy serving at our local church and hosting people at our home in Indian Springs. My greatest joy in this season of life comes from keeping my skills sharp as the World’s Greatest Grandpa!

Jack is a native son of Birmingham. After growing up in Vestavia Hills, he graduated from Samford University with degrees in Finance and in Economics. He also met his wife, Ashley, who now serves as a physical therapist in Birmingham. While in college, Jack interned in an associate role for Jay Dixon, where his interest was piqued by the world of financial planning. Seeing an opportunity to serve in the community in which he was raised, Jack joined Jay’s team following graduation. Since 2021, Jack has excelled bringing financial planning and analysis to families and businesses as a part of the firm.
Jack and Ashley live in Cahaba Heights with their dog, Banks, and cat, Tug. Jack enjoys anything outside, but the hobbies of hunting, fishing, and golf take up most of his free time. Jack and Ashley attend Redeemer Community Church.
